BCARS Meeting Minutes - October 2nd, 2025

A meeting of the Bedford County Amateur Radio Society was called to order at 1930 hours at Bedford American Legion by President Zachary Pepple, KC3KHK and a quorum was declared.

In attendance were (9):

John KB3DFZ, Lloyd K3QNT, Steve KE3ZT, Bernie W3DRW, Zach KC3KHK, Ellis KC3WMI, Kip K3IP, Jay K3SCM, and Gary KC3HKZ

Meeting Minutes were presented by John KB3DFZ. Motion to approve was made by K3QNT and seconded by W3DRW.

Treasurer’s report was given by K3QNT. Motion to approve was made by KE3ZT, seconded by W3DRW.

Old Business

Halloween Parade K3IP will drive the Van. Parade is October 27th, Monday at 7:30PM. Rain date is October 30th. Time to report is at 6:30PM. Please let Kip know if you will help out.

Repeater Update No work has been done since the September workshop.

New Business

National Weather Service of State College is having a workshop on Monday, October 20th at 10AM. All hams are invited to attend.

Field Day Discussed K3QNT reports that Winter Field Day location will be the Shawnee lodge again. For Summer Field Day, reservations have been made at the Shawnee East Pavilion 10.

WPA Set Exercise KB3DFZ reports no guidance has been sent regarding the fall set exercise. BCARS will plan to operate a check-in net at 10AM, Saturday, October 4th on the 145.490 repeater.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2010 hours.
