BCARS Meeting Minutes - March 7th, 2024
A meeting of the Bedford County Amateur Radio Society was called to order at 1930 hours at Bedford American Legion by Secretary John Hogenmiller and a quorum was declared.
In attendance were (13):
John KB3DFZ, Lance H, Gary KC3HKZ, Louise Metzker, Judy KC3VBS, Aden KC3VLQ, Steve KA3UDR, Bernie W3DRW, Steve KE3ZT, Kip N2XRE, Ellis KC3WMI, Jay K3SCM, and Ed KC3NAF
Meeting Minutes were presented by John KB3DFZ. Motion to approve was made by KE3ZT and seconded by KA3UDR.
Treasurer’s Report was presented by John KB3DFZ. John discussed various checks received, checks issued and cash deposits. The ending balances are:

A motion to approve was made by KA3UDR, seconded by KC3WMI. Motion carried. The full treasurer’s report is on file.
Old Business
KA3UDR has reserved the Shawnee Picnic Pavilion in Schellsburg for Field Day. Field Day is June 22nd - 23rd.
New Business
National Weather Service Skywarn class will be held Monday, March 25th, 6PM at the Bedford County Courthouse.
Western PA ARRL Spring Set exercise is April 6th. Emails will be sent out as more details become available.
The American Red Cross will be hosting a practice net on March 16th, 2024 in preparation for a American Red Cross GPA EmComm drill on May 22nd, 2024. Additional info will be sent out via email.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2007 hours.
